Or maybe Kante and Fabregas were just too good for him and as a consequence he had to spend a lot of time defending.

He needs freedom to attack not track back, play his natural game we had no width!

He could have come off after 30 minutes, to be fair to Koeman. He was poor yesterday.

Besic made a big difference. DCL should have started.

I really rate Davies but he was swamped yesterday.

It will happen to a kid from time to time, no big deal.

Tom has got it - let him play his normal game it's being stifled by our managers tactics!

If any player cannot adapt to any managers tactics then it's obvious the player is not that good. They should be able to adapt after several games and I think Tom Davies can. He just had a stinker yesterday that's all so no point in blaming the manager if a player doesn't perform.

Had a bad day yesterday but so did everyone and I can't blame him too much because they all look lost playing that 3-5-2 against quality opposition.

He's not Gana or Schniederlin and can't play that role against top opposition. His skillset is closer to Pienaar and you would never have played Pienaar there. Poor choice by the manager to pick him over Besic for that position. May have worked on the right of a 3 behind Sandro with but that would have required playing a better formation and not the dog turd 3 CBs formation.

Glad most are being sensible in here. Gonna be a quality player our Tom, let's not start slagging him off after a dodgy game or two whilst he's still in his teens.

Yes Joey quite a few of them. The back 3 for example with Williams and Jags is a prime example. If they cannot grasp it after so many games then they are not good enough or cute enough.
