So many things going on in here its the post of the day I’ve read so far I reckon.
 

I am not sure the reason really, but I always over-support a local boy or academy product that plays midfield.

Whether it be Barkley, Davies, Dowell; even the lads over the years that played well in the U23s but never kicked on in the first team such as Beni Baningime, Ryan Ledson, and Joe Williams.

I don't know where my desire for a top class, local product, midfielder comes from, but it has certainly given me quite a bit of heartbreak over the years.

I genuinely thought we were going to finally have it in Tom when he first came on, and I have been patient, but again not in the cards. Good lad but ultimately lacks the athleticism.

Think quite a few of us had high hopes when he first made the first team. Not to be unfortunately. That goal against Man City is a superb memory. Seems a lifetime ago.

At that point he was a glimmer of a modern Billy Kenny, just a slight flash tho. But I saw a little something when he burst onto the scene which made me think, could have something here

He didn't apply himself tho and he wasn't in the end, which is a real shame

We’ve had goodbye letters from Begovic, Mina, Coady, even Vinagre

(Coleman I expect is staying in some capacity so not surprised to not near from him)

Nothing though from Davies or Townsend….. could it be they have an offer of an extension?

I mean, why haven’t they gone yet?

I don’t think their contracts expire till late June mate (I could be mistaken)

I’d be surprised if he could write to be fair
