People have themselves to blame. Too many in the fanbase are keen to make excuses for these guys, Davies, Holgate, Mina, etc. It was the same with Gomes. Truth be told, if a guy hasn't made a serious impact within 18 months, he's not very likely to. Too many simply refuse to read the writing on the wall. Davies missed the bus a good three years ago. Holgate is still being talked of as "young" even today by some - same as Godfrey, who is 25 in January. They've missed the bus. There's another one along in a while to the Championship.
