Timed his ascent to the first team with the most useless team management (by and large) of the last few decades. Clearly had a fair bit of talent although never true class above, and I felt he showed signs of it quite often through his tenure.

Could lay claim to being a good honest pro come the end of his career.. good luck Tom.
 
Respect to him, like Kenny last year, for actually taking a chance on his career rather than live out the cushy Everton life that the club are always far too eager to offer.

He’s not a good player, at all, which is a shame given the way he came into the team under Koeman alongside Gueye and Schneiderlin (which is actually probably the last time we looked a half decent team on a consistent basis).

Wish him well but I’m very glad he’s moving on.

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least if he said he was leaving but then the club offered him a deal they agreed he’d turn down.

I think our dealings under Kenwright & Thelwell are being exposed.

I think he's over the age threshold for a training fee, but I may be wrong. If he goes abroad we don't get a fee in any case.
