He played fine last week and rightly kept his place. And we were far better when he was on.

That's not all down to him. Lampard bizarrely took Rondon off too and it completely knocked the shape, and Cooper capitalised by bringing on MGW to give them an extra man in midfield.

Lampard didn't react, because his in-game management is bafflingly poor.
Lampard took Rondon off cos he he was absolute garbo.
Lets not make it look or sound anything different.

I agree, he didn't offee much at all, save for a few nicely played chest lay offs. But he did have a role and was at least a target. The change in tactics seemed to be to play a bit deeper and go over the top, which suited Forest more, and they grew in confidence.

But honestly, i was surprised Rondon started the 2nd half. He was goosed in the 1st. I pointed out at the game, his shirt was so wet, it was almost a different colour to everyone elses, was closer to the refs shirt than ours.

Cant fault his effort, he clearly gave it his all, but he is definitely not fit enough to play 90 mins, just like last season. Its why we need several new forward options, both for starting places and for cover.

Oh, and Davies played really well. Him and Iwobi both did. Iwobi Man of the match for me, but considering Tom is coming back from a very long injury, he's looked very good. Playing under Lampard, and with some proper legs in midfield with him, could finally be the making of him.

The reason why I hoped Anthony Barry would have been the first man through the door before any signings.

Rondon didn't have to touch the ball during that second half and he still would have been more effective than without a striker.....

Focal point focal point....... Ripping the remaining hair I have left out thinking about us tactically
He refuses to bring Dele on - if he's moving on, then don't have him in the squad if you're worried about an injury - so instead puts a lad who couldn't hit a barn door for the last two years up front, playing out of position. And, the one thing that lad is good at is crossing, yet he has nobody to cross it to...

Bad, bad management.

i'm not gonna say this could be the making of Davies but he's fine in a very specific role like he played today.

If Rondon had to go off, then Dele should have been on

I put my tin hat on , but Davies was the best player on the pitch today , until Frank took him off.
That was shocking management.
However Frank may be getting the best out of him and Alex Owobi.
It's early days , but after Frank's previous management career it may be the cae that younger players may be his strength.

You can’t cook filet mignon if you got McDonalds ingredients. What do you expect him to cook up with this squad? Better transfers business is needed.

Don't disagree but he was never bringing Dele on he's off to Turkey. So who else Rondon can't do 90 mins, we need a striker !
