I don't think he's been in a cosistent position unfortunately because of our switch to that whacky back 3. If it's 4-3-3 and he's the 6 I like him, any other position meh.

It's been similar enough. He's a player who wants to pass, it'll be helpful if he knows where the guys he's looking to pass to are going to be most of the time.
To me he's always been best when he's collecting deep with the whole pitch in front and 2 other mids in front of him. When he's in a 2 he has too many responsibilities (and crap partners) and he tries to do too much.
