Have you swallowed a thesaurus ladPreviously put some of this in the San Bernardino thread, but it's an entirely separate topic. Seems that "political correctness," "tolerance," "trigger warnings," "micro aggressions," and an entire spate of new and newly redefined words have recently overwhelmed the culture of campuses. Jonathan Haidt describes this as the "Yale Problem," but it seems to be affecting Western universities quite broadly.
TL;DR, "ideas" and "conversation" are being sacrificed at the altars of "tolerance" and "correctness".
Thoughts?
