im almost certain that if arsenal win the cup and finish 6th then sheff utd get into europe as finalists of the fa cup. it doesnt revert to league. if arsenal finish 6th which is already a qualifying spot for europe this season after man city winning the carling cup then they are already in europea cup by default of league position, so why would they need the extra spot from winning the cup, they wouldn't it would go to their fellow finalists, sheff utd

this is redundant anyway as hull have just taken the league and will get europe instead

I think the Cup places both revert to the League if the winners have already qualified.

From the Wiki (fallible I know but I think its right)
