RVP knows hes gone, thats the only reason hes talking about a new contract.

didn't think about it like that, but i believe you're right. wouldn't be surprised if he's in for a bit of a shock at the end of the season though.

rooney would be regretting signing his if he wasn't purely interested in money

I've just killed 5 lambs and will be drinking their blood, so the gods grant me favour and see liverpool drop out of the title race
I meant our own plac in Europe - which I'd love btw. But I'd bin off Europe in an instant - could you imagine the sight of Gerrard lifting it? A sick, horrible image. So, yes, let's sacrifice the lambs too.

I think you're the one out of step on this one mate.

United losing ground on us is scant consolation for three points going to Liverpool in a title run in.

i'm calm because i don't believe they'll win it. they've had their luck in that their best player hasn't missed one min of action after his deserved ban, and their other two influences haven't really missed much action at all either, but hey, that's just them. hence, no other team in the world would get 3 penalties awarded at OT, most won't get that amount all season.

if we finish 5th it'd be a great season everton wise.

i really didn't care who won today, whatever the result, we were a winner imo. it helped us in our quest for europe, i'm not the only one on here too bitter to see it that way either.

Arsenal now in at between 12/1 to 14/1 for the title. Same points as Liverpool and same games played, but people are backing them down to below 3/1....obviously taking note of the amount of leg ups they're getting from the officials.

I really wouldn't mind knowing what the stats are on this Liverpool bias. How many pens they've had; how many pens and sendings off their title rivals have had compared with Liverpool.

I'd guess it's an enormous difference.

Needs looking at in the media this. I noticed David Brent was trying to deflect from it post match today in the wake of the unprecedented three pens and a sending off at OT. Who has ever been given that sort of leg up in the past? It's just outrageous.

I mean, they were ALWAYS going to win it again some day

I never doubted that for a second

They are too big a club, with too big a fan base, with too big a ground swell of media support and with too big a bank balance to go from now until the blissful end of time without winning the title again

I knew that an ongoing line of owners would just keep throwing money at it until it happened and it's possible that this is the year it finally does happen. They've spent over 20 Million on the player who is going to do it for them and they'll either win it due to him playing or win it due to the money they get from selling him.

It's like Agent Smith has us in the headlock and the train is coming down the tracks

It's the sound of inevitability

It would, but only if Liverpool dont get given the title...in which case it'll be diminished - quite naturally too.

The powers that be at Everton wrote our season off in January, the Europa League doesn't sound like a prize to me but it's something to shoot for I suppose. It's more about finishing the season playing good stuff and trying to build on our progress in terms of attacking style.

I don’t really care about getting favours from other teams, if we were going for Champions League I might.

If they dont win it this season they wont for the next few seasons until they get a billionaire putting billions in...not with CL and PL duty.
