They'll be fine when they get a manager of Van Gaal's class in the summer.

They have (in fact they always have) very decent players. When and if they stumble upon the right manager they'll do something. Even Arry had them up there a few years back. The thing with Spurs though is the instability the director of football position brings.

with levy at the helm, spurs's future will never be bleak.

they have so many great players there, eventually a manager will be able to get the best out of them and they'd be right up there as title contenders imo.

The decision making on managers there over the last few years have been shocking. He backs managers with cash, no question. But, imo, his determination to be the big cheese at the club means that any manager being successful on the pitch are seen as a potential counter-power to him at the club. Probably explains the DoF post they persist with.

yeah, sheerwood is surely a stop gap for the rest of the season. that's a very mistifying one for me, even he got them back into the hunt for top 4, before they blew it again. if he could have got a top coach in, they could have still made champions league. then again, maybe the one he wants isn't available until the summer, so we'll see on that front.

AVB seemed to be a decent choice, highly rated, but know we can see that he's nothing special. he's a negative manager much in the benitez mould who's tactics favour knockout competitions where you can win simply by drawing and who won the portuguese league, just because he had the best team.

discussion on BBC about great celebrations after eto'o yesterday. this cart has to be the only person in the world simple enough to think this:

Adam Stewart: Daniel Sturridge's dance has to be one of the best ever. You could watch it over and over again and each time make you smile.

never understand the huge love in for Levy. Sure he backs them with cash... but only after he sells their best player at the death of the window every season.

he's worse than Kenwright.

btw Bayern munich were utter sex on legs yesterday

That is as annoying as the shearer one hand in the air celebration for me,on to todays game between Hull/Sunderland,i want hull to win just for the simple reason that out game away to sunderland does not get called off on the 12th april, cant be bothered without an Everton weekend game

the thing i don't get about Sherwood is why did they give him a contract lasting beyond this season if he was always just going to be a stopgap- and he most definitely was ALWAYS going to just be a stopgap.
Maybe to get the players on his side under the pretence of "we do have faith in Tim so we've given him a longer contract"
Is that mental boost worth the compensation Spurs will pay him once they rip up his contract at the end of this season?
