Today's football.

yeah this is what i don't get, if you hack down a player who's about to square it to someone else with a 2 yard tap in - that's a clear goalscoring opportunity. it's a bit of a myth that it's not a "last man" red card still.

Similar incident in that Palace game. The lad would've been straight through if he wasn't fouled. Plenty of defenders tracking back, but he's almost through and a "clear" goalscoring op.

Webb is a celebrity blert. Had a shocker yesterday. Let's be clear, Palace did not deserve to win. Southampton are a decent outfit who play crisp, passing football, keep the ball well and counter very quickly, hence their comedy goal. However, they are snides of the worst kind, had five players booked yesterday, all for trips of the kind that brought down Bolasie when clean through.
Blunderland away next week. Nerves.

I really really really enjoyed watching Spurs capitulate last night
After feeling so downhearted about going out the cup and wondering whether we've actually made any real progress (bottlers, no away wins in 2014, absolute no goalscoring ability)-- just look at Spurs, that's how you make no progress. What a terrible bunch.
I have faith Roberto will take us forward, in a solid steady way.
Spurs utter pretenders.

Anyone watching that interview with Sherwood last night will know all they need to know now about Spurs' short term future: bleak.

Sherwood is a wrongun. A conman playing the 'commitment' card so early in his managerial 'career'. He's dog meat in this league with that attitude. A tactical illiterate throwing caution to the wind and then blaming his players when they get dumped on their arse by a team of quality. I hope he's there for a while but I dont think Levy will allow it. IMO, Hoddle was the one they should have turned to, not this charlatan.

They'll be fine when they get a manager of Van Gaal's class in the summer.

with levy at the helm, spurs's future will never be bleak.

they have so many great players there, eventually a manager will be able to get the best out of them and they'd be right up there as title contenders imo.
