Today's football.

heck just somewhere for kids to play football would be a start.

There's plenty of pitches in Liverpool, but by the time we get to November they're a complete mess. Obviously it would require a ridiculous amount of investment but the widespread introduction of 3G facilities would have a positive impact on the way the game is played.

Where I grew up we were able to play football on the road as people understood the necessity of driving slowly around residential areas. Sadly not these days.

Diving on tarmac was great fun.

Back to yesterdays discussion, Does anyone know what kind of pitches they use over in other countries for lower leagues? Are they s*** like they are in England? What about kids footy? I'd ask my mate but hes not replying so maybe someone here knows who lives abroad

Here in Barcelona I play on 3G pitches that are in good condition (but bad for your studs), the grounds normally have at least three stands too.

I´m playing at a fairly low level but the facilities are much higher than what you´d get in England.

There's loads of 3G pitches down here for anyone to use.

Those little black bit get freakin' everywhere.

I've not played for ages and I still find them!

Yeah I saw it. It was a great strike. Keeper was screened a bit and most likely never thought that was gonna come from so far away. Granted, he could have got something on it, but when your caught off guard by a great hit like that its incredibly tough to recover.
How did the lad miss from 3 yards away?
