No one really expected this to be an easy win..As I said before West Brom have beaten Utd and drawn against Chelsea , Arsenal, Spurs and Everton. A point away against them isn't exactly a royal **** up.

Haha, post the **** up it was a tough fixture......sure, none of you lot were predicting anything other than 3 points today, so don't give me that ****e

Nice sidestep. Give those lads you took the bet off the points spread that you know you should. You talk about me avoiding it, deal with that issue. or maybe you feel Liverpool need that two point gap eh?

Do the right thing...if you can.

There is no issue, me and some guys made a bet. The only person trying to make an issue is the person who originally bottled the bet.

There's an issue now. Give those lads the points spread. What's up, don't fancy getting more points than Everton as of now?

Will you please clarify to those two lads that they have the two points gap made good right now and it's a simple points totalled as of now?

Or do you usually make bets on your club with the advantage of a points start?

It's basically a 3 point gap considering our superior goal difference and yes I think the gap will be bigger than 2 points

Well at least you have that confidence - you're fellow kopite here doesn't think they can do that. hats off to you for having that faith in your team.

In all honesty mate and I am sure people will take this the wrong way but yes I am confident of fourth, i feel United have to much to do and Spurs have no Bale to bail them out. I do not believe Everton have a big enough squad or a goalscorer and will likely finish 7th behind all the aforementioned.

Fair enough. You're obviously in pole position.

I'll reserve judgement on the goalscorer comment until I've seen Traore play, he could be what is missing.

Squad wise, I think our first choice defence is better than yours, and I think overall (when all fit) we have better options in the attacking midfield positions, Barkley, Pienaar, Deulofeu, McGeady and Mirallas. Not to mention Baines and Coleman are better than all your full backs. On the flip side of that you've got slightly more depth in CM and much better strikers. It's very close, though.

I usually make a bet and make clear the terms of the bet before people accept, I don't normally change the terms of a bet after it has been made and quite frankly don't know anybody or company that would do such a thing.
You are starting to sound very nieve when it comes to the rules of betting so unless you're prepared to put your money where your mouth is you might want to but out.
You are also insinuating the people that took the bet are stupid for accepting such terms whereas I believe them to have accepted the terms in the belief that Everton would finish above Liverpool regardless of both teams current points tally at the time of the bet.

Sorry guys it seems some are getting upset by me not towing the bull line which is probably to be expected on an Everton forum.
If there are any blues on here who actually believe Everton are the better team and will finish above Liverpool then the bet I offered Davek is open to the first 10.blues who wish to accept it and like I said proof of payment can be sent to mods to ensure everything is above board, not that I believe anyone on here is sad enough to rob from a charity.

It's 'toeing* the line'.

Difficult to work out how your version could ever make sense.

Can you explain why you're below us then mate and scored so many less?

do spurs have a goalscorer? haven't seen one.

united have goalscorers but atm they don't have any fit defenders and even at full strength their back 5 and midfield is very very ordinary.

2 points below, yes. Hardly a gulf, is it? You've scored more goals because you've got much better strikers, as I said in the post you replied to. Suarez is the best player out of the two teams by a bit of a distance, yet your points tally doesn't suggest that you've got a world class player and more over us. Would you not agree?

We're also in our first season under a new manager. I believe you guys call it a 'transition'? In your first season under Rodgers you pretty much stood still, whereas we have improved.
