This is the time of year Moyes has always done well. Plus luck and I guess RVP is coming their way. Getting top 4 just got tougher.

It was obvious to all but the brain dead from about 6 weeks back or so that United (despite their hiccups versus us and Newcastle) were beginning to hit some solid form and would kick on.

I've said all along mate, top four will be:

City
Chelsea
Arsenal
United

...though not necessarily in that order.

Those four squads - despite the CL obligations - are head and shoulders above all others in the PL.

Oh no doubt, but look at Chelsea under AVB or big phil and see what happens when even a winning squad doesn't like their boss, poisons the team.

Yes, but the champions of England (by a country mile) are still the champions of England. Slipping outside the top four was always going to be an unlikely scenario for those proud players once they got their teeth into the season.

they are a team that have lost at home to everton, newcastle and WBA though. i think moyes enjoys it away from the 75,000 gauging eyes on him, less pressure. wouldn't be surprised if they don't beat spurs.

depends on what they do in jan for me, no way they'll challenge for the title though.

You start winning games when Fellaini is out eh pal?

One of our worst ever signings. Totally out of his depth playing deep in midfield. He has no tactical awareness, can barely tackle and his passing range is about 5 yards. He's so slow our whole team becomes less dynamic and more predictable as a result. For a bigman he's easily pushed off the ball. He's also soo poor at tackling its unreal, he just fouls and barges people out of the way. He has no sense of anticipation, he can't read or sense danger very well and as a result when he charges upfield pressing by himself he's easily bypassed.

Awful Awful signing. If we do inevitably come in for Baines we should just offer a straight swap between to the two. With you probably paying us 5m.

Horrendous player. When Cleverley comes in our team and looks 10x the player you know he has problems.

City and Chelsea will sort that out. If Chelsea (as I expect) see Liverpool off tomorrow and give further notice they're starting to shut up shop, I think they may pip City to the title. Pellegrini, when all is said and done, does not have a winning CV title-wise apart from a solitary Argentinian title with River Plate. That has to count for something going up against a feller with a CV like Mourinho who has gotten the better of him in the past.
