I think they have lumbered themselves with him for now. He is toxic for this season at least. If you were a large European club with funds enough to buy him, would you honestly hand over 30-40m on a player with such bad press?

he was the closest man to the incident. i hate how hypocrits like him and suarez will go down as greats of the game whereas people like baines will not be remembered considering the mass difference in personalities. two are cheats who garb the headlines basically for doing just that and then everything good they do is blown out of proportion.

i'm not watching the derby if he's allowed to play, i know it's harsh not to be watching my own team, but i don't want to degrade myself in to having to watch us become the victim to two of the most horrible things to have stepped foot on a football pitch.

He won't get the chance - Suarez won't see a Premier League pitch until around late October/early November, if he ever does again.

Why hasn't he been arrested for this, does anyone know?
