We've got to accept they're one of the best teams in football now. Have been average for the last 30 years but it's like they're back to the side of the 70's and 80's. Do we have to live through their dominance over the next decade?

Oh they are. In fact, I don't even mind the team. Theyre certainly more tolerable than when Slippy and Suarez etc were running about. That's acceptable.

The cult is a completely different matter.

This. Second leg home advantage is underestimated for me. You can't rule out anyone at home in Europe, whatever score they need. The psychological pressure on the away team is just so massive.

I kept telling my rs colleagues the tie wasn't over and they would have none of it.

An early goal sets the tone and a three goal deficit doesn't seem like a huge mountain.

I still thought Barca would score but not surprised by the outcome one bit.

They just don’t have the legs. Too many old players. They rely too much on Messi. Real are in the same boat.
They'll be a much stronger team next season with Arthur and De Jong both starting
I know I'll be called out immediately for kopite behaviour, but I'd just like to state that big atmospheres create big results. It's a very real phenomenon.

I've been at Goodison on good days. I've seen Northern Ireland beat England, and Spain with a hat trick from a league 1 player.

Large elements of what goes on at that club is completely lamentable, but they create game altering atmospheres. Hopefully Goodison remains like it has been in the last 8 weeks or so, because it really does help.
100%

A few years ago i kinda lost all interest in Football when we had our little girl. Over the past year or two I've slowly allowed it back into my life but nowhere near the level it used to be. I really don't care too much if we lose or what any other team get up to really. I honestly can move on pretty quick.

I do think football affects people too much, it makes peoples blood boil when it really shouldn't. I get it though because it matters to people but at the end of the day, these mega rich lads kicking the ball about should never be able to get under peoples skin so much. They're living the dream while some people literally drink themselves to a stupor or rage up so much it ruins their life long or short term.

I do understand it but sometimes taking it for what it is, not that important is the way to go.

But of course it's easy to say when Everton are closer to the championship than they are to the top of the league.

Not kopite behaviour, its very true. Any sportsperson can improve their performance by 15% with a home and hostile atmosphere, and them lot do it well.

They need pace up front. Liverpool were happy to push up the field knowing Barca couldn’t hurt them over the top. Can’t beleive they spanked the Neymar money and more on Coutinho and Dembele.

Anyone want any more Barca players

Not even convinced we should but Gomes to be honest. They will try and over charge us for a player they laughed at and we played in to form. People think it's great being friendly with Barca, in reality they sell over priced players because of their name alone.

Yeah it's not worth it. A few years ago I'd be vomiting blood.

I still enjoy them losing but dont let them winning affect me in anyway. I'm aware of the slight contradiction but it makes sense in my head.

Hear hear. It's just not worth obsessing over a result of a football game. As you said love when they lose but life moves on. I plan on going somewhere a good distance away from Liverpool 1st June with the missus, drinking loads of wine and really not giving a toss what's going on elsewhere.
