It's 9 points difference quality wise between 7th and 6th.

That's a lot.
I think the end of the season has shown that when teams aren't scared to play against those teams they can take points off them. If that kind of thing continues the league will be more balanced than it currently is.

I can see next season being miles better then this one. The dross that has gone has offered nothing and the 3 clubs that come up all look good even if they are playing at a lower level, like Wolves they might be decent next season.
Also more of the mid table clubs will be letter, Leicester and possibly Everton should make a serious push for top 6. Spurs Arsenal and Chelsea should be more settled, really looking forward right now

VAR should level the playing field also, just think how many offside goals Aubemayang alone has scored against us, or pens that Martial has dived for against us. There’s going to be some interesting results being thrown up when the top 6 can’t get favours going their way.

Spurs have appealed red card for Son ? I thought it was nailed on, must have missed something.

Must be desperate to have him for Sunday. Cos it was nailed on, but the appeal will probably be after Sunday, I think. So he will be banned for more games next season instead.

Not sure about Sheffield United. I reckon they need some serious investment to be competitive. Otherwise they feel similar to Cardiff.

It's been a decade since the biggest cheating has taken place in a game. Crazy how time flies.

nonsense - there have been six or seven worse incidents just in the derby (Poll's disallowing of the arse-goal being the worst, given that he lied about it as well).

Vidal again. no Arthur. Reckon Valverde will get a season more maximum even if he wins the treble.

but anyways......VISCA BARÇA!!

not sure how Semedo doesn't start instead of Coutinho either - that change caused the 1-0 to turn into 3-0 (and should have been 4-0).

15 mins to KO. Still feel about 90% nervous as I did last night. the doubting Clive in my brain has already started yammering "Well, if they score in the first 15 minutes..."

Anyone passing by concert square? Bet it's heaving with full kit w-anchors on Stella. One of them is wearing shorts, and has a poor quality portrait of Suarez tattooed on his thigh with the words "Red 4 Eva"... god I want to hit him and this guy only exists in my brain.

It's 10 years since Tom Henning Ovrebo wrote his name into infamy

The referee's performance was possibly the most inept I've ever seen, it took incompetence and poor decision making to uncharted depths.

Michel Platini, wasn't particularly renowned for sound decision making - (unless the decision to help himself can be called that) but his policy of giving important and prestigious games to referees without the requisite experience of refereeing on a regular basis at that level, was asking for trouble.

I don't think Ovrebo was an experienced referee at CL level at all, but he set a new low for anything described as simply a 'nightmare match'

I'm the other way around 10% max worried, even if they score twice early I can't see them stopping Barca from scoring. Can't see the RS scoring 5.
