If you are suggesting that the Dutch League has any chance of building a league on par with the Prem or any of the other big leagues in Europe that is nuts. There's a reason that the amount of money in leagues correlates at least a little to the size of the economy.

Cancelling fixtures isn't a way to get TV money. I'm not suggesting they'd ever be the biggest league, but the reason the PL has all that TV money is because they understand how to deal with TV.

The NHL had a lock out in 2006 and cost ESPN a ton of money. It has been over a decade and ESPN wants nothing to do with them. The TV money crap the ajax manager wants to trot out is bs. They earned that money. Ajax didnt earn a week off other than playing in a crap league.

A massive portion of Premier League TV money comes from domestic broadcasters like Sky. There is no Dutch comparison to that. So they cannot compete no matter how much understanding they have. It just can't happen.
