As the Ajax manager said this week, it may not be fair that they had a free weekend, but is it fair that Spurs get gazillions more money for TV games?

You do what you can.

It's not really comparable at all. It's actually a really stupid argument.

The EPL and Tottenham earn that money by creating a great global product. Could you imagine the epl cancelling a week of fixtures because a team was in the champions league. That's exactly why that league will never see any TV money. You can't just go to sky, or nbc in the states and say we're going to delay games this week for the benefit of one team.

It's a joke and laughable. Part of what makes reaching success on this level so admirable is the grind of all the games and getting through it. I guess unless you're in some crappy Dutch league.

Some things are more important than money. The PL would do well to learn this.

So we should just make success more easy? Could you imagine how people would react if Everton weren't playing because Tottenham have a CL game? Some are already mad that the Burnley game was moved to Friday. Imagine no game.

What they did is absolutely ridiculous. I agree the PL could be a bit more flexible.

It’s a perfect argument.

If you are suggesting that the Dutch League has any chance of building a league on par with the Prem or any of the other big leagues in Europe that is nuts. There's a reason that the amount of money in leagues correlates at least a little to the size of the economy.

Can someone please explain this comment on BBC live reporting?

Tottenham 0-1 Ajax
Feisty start to this second half. It's wide open in midfield! Heavy metal stuff. Jurgen Klopp would approve!
