One thing I noticed about the current Arsenal side, is the lack of local English talent they possess. They have only one English player, in Maitland-Niles, who is a poxy right back cover for the injured Bellerin, nowhere near good enough for England NT. What happened to the good old days of Adams, Keown, Wright, Seaman, Campbell, etc? I noticed all the talent Leicester had, such as Maddison, Chilwell, Choudhury, Barnes, which is a huge contrast to what Arsenal have.

Brexit means Brexit

Benitez will put out a second string "we're safe, we needed to check out a few youngsters who have been performing well for the reserves" etc.

He's leaving in a couple of weeks, he's done his job of keeping them up, he won't be trying to win that.

It's Newcastle's last home game of the season.

I remember the 2015/16 season's final home game, the year Leicester won the league chased by Spurs for much of the season, when Newcastle were already relegated, following Allardyce's remarkable Sunderland rescue act, and played the then second placed Tottenham with only Spurs having anything to play for.

Spurs' hated fellow North London rivals Arsenal were catching them fast and local rivalry was firmly on the line.

Relegated Newcastle won 5-1 and Arsenal beat Spurs to second place at the last gasp.

Newcastle could then only look forward to a Championship campaign the following season but still tried to beat Tottenham.

Just remember Newcastle fans, the rs scuppered your best chance of winning the Premier League. Let's have a cauldron of hatred and revenge on Saturday night, and ignore the fact that Benitez is your manager. I would love it if they got 2 or 3 nil up and started singing that song about Keegan being their king:celebrate:
