He is getting sacked anyway, so he should have told the truthSarri covering up for Kepa there and towing the company line. Imagine behind the scenes is a totally different matter

Pretty much agree! He achieves nothing by protecting the player publicly like he's doing. Now he's got now allies at all anywhere, all the players clearly view him as some numpty with absolutely no authority and the media/general public will see him as a greedy hawk just trying to protect his pay off at the expense of his personal pride.
Got no sympathy for him myself now, clearly he's fine to be totally humiliated like that in front of the world.
Willian looks very cheerful for someone who's just lost a final.
Fixed.Chanting during the applause for Harrison
Try, for once, to bestayclassy, Reds
“Don’t worry - you can join our reserves next season if you like.”Pep used his wizard powers and made him laugh with some irresistible quip, further causing mayhem at Chelsea. What a manager.
Not a fan of throwing players under the bus but there is also a lot of room between yelling about them to the press and excusing their behaviour with a “it was all a misunderstanding”.Sarri is weak here. Clearly the tactical thing to do was swap in Caballero, who is amazing at penalty shootouts and who knows the Man city players as he is a former player there.
He made the correct call, and should have thrown the petulant **** under the bus.
Nah, if someone did that to Fergie he would have at the very least dropped veiled threats about the player. Said player would probably never play again for the team. Not a fan of throwing players under the bus but there is also a lot of room between yelling about them to the press and excusing it with a “it was all a misunderstanding”.
A simple “we will be discussing the incident” and no further comment would have been the way I’d have suggested - leaves room to tear a strip off the pillock in private but not wash the clubs dirty laundry in public.
Sarri isn’t in the same club position as Fergie and I doubt that management style would be as effective these days anyway. It certainly didn’t seem to work for Mourinho.Nah, if someone did that to Fergie he would have at the very least dropped veiled threats about the player. I knew he was evil.Pep used his wizard powers and made him laugh with some irresistible quip, further causing mayhem at Chelsea. What a manager.
"I envy your hair. It is like the mane of a magnificent lion."“Don’t worry - you can join our reserves next season if you like.”
They’ve got six league titles, they’ll be moving on to 7, should they win the title. They still only have 5 titles (hopefully 6 in May)
Titles are the yard stick of success - not league cups (though I wish we'd finally get round to winning one anytime soon)
Wonder what mourinho would have done...Sarri is weak here. Clearly the tactical thing to do was swap in Caballero, who is amazing at penalty shootouts and who knows the Man city players as he is a former player there.
