We play away unfair sending off freekick taken five yard further forwards....
The same ref has a shocke the very next week shock!
The top teams deliberately messed VAR up last season ....
Yet in the World Cup it was a big success?.....
That lot will get decisions like that all season ......
Again, Joey, I can only nod my head in agreement. Tbh, I find most of your posts intelligently formed and articulately delivered. The only time my views, and yours, have greatly diverged, is over that movie with the three billboards...I enjoyed it.

VAR was a success in the World Cup because the people operating it weren't incompetent bell whiffs. Until the standard of officiating is improved in this country as a whole we'll still get just as many dodgy decisions with VAR. The Ref's in this country are like the police in America mate, rarely held responsible for their actions and often backed by their other bell whiff ref mates doing BT sport and the like.

I said this before the season started, we were going to get undone by a host of refereeing incompetence whereas all the top six will benefit.

It's nothing to do with conspiracy and corruption it's due to ref's being too scared of the criticism they get when they give decisions against the 'bigger' teams. The top six are fully aware they get the benefit of the decisions and they know they can cheat their way into coning refs hence why they voted against.

There's already been five or six appalling decisions this season and we've only had two games. There's no way that idiotic table those virgin students drew up saying these guys were unlucky last season was true. I never see them struggle against a team and actually win by grinding a result on merit. That's what title winners do, that's what Fergie's United did. They may have scored late winners, but they were on merit, not diving for 50 mins asking the ref to give them a hand.

Is it me or have they started fouling the moment they lose the ball, in order to stop teams breaking on them? They did it loads against West Ham, and the bit I saw today (missed most of it, thankfully) they did it at least two or three times.
I'm sorry, but I have it on expert authority from Professor Klopp (LFC+Bar) that Liverpool Football Club players never ever ever commit fouls or any other offence whatsoever (including using mobile phones while driving). He has studied the behaviour of the LFC playing staff and concluded that they are all innocent angels and gentlemen of the highest order.

Not just them who do it though. All the high pressing teams like City and Spurs do the same thing and being in the Sky 6 allows them to escape the cards

I'd just like to say it was yet another stellar weekend for refs. Pawson watching a player hoof an opponent off the ball from about 3 yards away but thought just a free kick. Then we had bad offside call against ourselves. Something that simply should not happen with VAR available. Then tonight's MOTM performance by Michael Oliver.

English referees are the laughing stock of European football. None of them are good. Not one of them can be trusted to get through 90 minutes without a cock up.

They can win at Palace all they like that fixture will forever be remembered for when six Footballers and hundreds of grown men were crying on national TV over one game of football which didn't actually mean anything.

Hahaha why were they all crying? They wouldn't have won the title if they held on for 3-2 anywaylol
