Alli is the golden boy of the BBC. Every time he dives they go into overdrive with every pundit telling us relentlessly how it was a stonewall penalty. BT are just as bad. They bring a ref on to defend the decision every time too.

It's actually pathetic how useless our sports media are in this country and how biased they are towards certain players. The more he dives the more they defend him. It's also quite alarming how often that Bobby Madley makes a wrong decision. It's literally every game and sometimes more than once.

Quite obvious they're not taking the cup seriously.
Bit strange.
They're not winning the league and still a long way to go in the champions league. Only 3 games to win to be in a final at Wembley.

The attitude makes even less sense when their manager has won sweet FA in his career, the club as an apparent 'big club' are heading into their 11th year without any silverware whatsoever.

Unless they are going to build a trophy cabinet for Kane's golden boots.

It is strange I agree, especially because if they are to win it they’ve got 3 home games out of 4 left. It’s a unique opportunity.

Madley seems bomb proof.

Kane and Alli can't be slagged off in a World Cup year, nor can any current internationals by the looks of it ?

While I agree that Alli does like a dive I thought there was enough contact to award a penalty today. He did make the most of it though. I only seen it once and could easily be convinced I am wrong.

Every time Dele is fouled the media have to hold an inquest. Which 9 times out of 10 (or move) prove he was fouled/the ref was correct.

It's all part of the media agenda to do the usual 'build them up and knock them down' seen it all before dozens of times.

Admittedly he makes the most of the incidents but, in a nutshell, if you don't go down the ref doesn't give it. Seen it several times this season where he, Kane and Son etc have been fouled in the box but because they have stayed on their feet it gives the ref the chance to duck the decision.

If he played for someone else I would probably hate him as well but I LOVE him at Spurs.

...it’s not just Alli, it happens with players from all clubs where the reaction does not reflect the amount of contact. You see players collapsing to the ground from a hand on the shoulder or catapulting in the air after a tap on the leg. The forwards reaction should be proportionate to the level of contact.

Feisty game in Brazil.

I remember when players used to ride "challenges" like that and keep going instead of going down like they've been shot. I don't recall seeing much of anything near this much play-acting back in the mid-80s.
