No sanchez for arsenal, surely off now. Just annoying we messed up for a target man on the summer. Who knows how different our season could have been, we could have been finishing ahead of them this season because without sanchez they're going to be pretty dire.

That's how good allardyce has been for us in a nutshell.

Yes we are 9th but other teams who were worse than us she he took over are potentially having a much better run than us. Only the fact other teams have had to have bad runs has propped us up in the top half.

What happens when Southampton stoke Swansea start winning? We get dragged into a relegation battle again whilst we fail to even shoot in games let alone score!

Now I think there is no danger of going down this season now because I don't believe there is a chance for Brighton Swansea and Huddersfield to outpoint us for the rest of the season at least but if bournemouth west ham and palace find themselves above us then allardyce has been a failure also no question
We have been equally as bad if not worse than hammers and palace prior to the allardyce appointment.

I watched a few palace and hammers games and they were honestly 10x better than us in games and they were getting shafted anyway.

At least those have always played ball a bit. We've not played ball all season.

According to Wenger in his press conference, he left him out of today's squad because Sanchez has been somewhat 'vague' over his options

He even claims that he doesn't know what's going to happen although a decision will be imminent - something which wouldn't surprise me.

I don't feel that Sanchez has much loyalty or respect for Arsenal and its hierarchy, so he possibly may be leaving them out of the process.

As yourself and @Walken mentioned, without Sanchez and potentially Ozil leaving as well their squad is mostly void of any real star talents.

"He's being vague at the moment. The situation is not completely decided one way or the other, so I left him at home," said boss Arsene Wenger.

Asked if a decision was imminent, Wenger said: "Yes. Don't read too much in it because even I don't know which way it will go."

The fact we are 9th still is purely down to luck because there is no way this type of football 20 plus games into a season has you top half without worse teams in the process.

I'm happy enough to write the season off completely and if we are still crap in May then so what now, nothing to play for. But it's whether anyone at the club has intention of changing things for the future because this policy over the past 2 years isn't working clearly.

But short term allardyce needs to sort this attack out now and start actually playing. Others disagree but I think he knows he isn't here next year and we will look back in May and see how half arsed he actually was when he came in.

yeah agree with that, with arsenals infrastructure they will come around again with a new manager you would have thought, they only have that superb infrastructure because of wengers work, but he's clearly no longer the man to use it.

I think with hindsight, losing barkley and lukaku, we are in the same situation, but our utterly awful plan for dealing with it has highlighted it even more

Add to that, the fact that their resources will consistently outweigh our own, including either the transfer pot or wages, plus a European draw.

Even if they do not qualify for the CL once again, which is a strong possibility, they've amassed some pedigree which'll stand them in good stead.

Well, for a while... and to a point... but you catch my drift.
