Today's Football 2017-18 Season

Am I being hopelessly deluded in hoping that this time next year, all of Europe's football attentions will be focussing on Merseyside's Blue team. I'd love Capt Jags, Bainesy, Tubby Ashley etc to reinvigorate their (hopefully long extended) Everton tenures by winning the CL.
Too much attention is placed on the RS imo. Both derbies evidenced that we are every bit their equal. We remain in the top 10 of Europe's toughest league, playing some scintillating football that should have enraptured football fans globally...yet the media only talk about Liverpool, as if getting to a poxy CL semi-final is something to crow about.
It doesn't seem fair to me.
I do not want to sound a conspiracy theorist, but does anyone else out there think there might be a curse on EFC?

In a word - Yes.

Fact is we're not anywhere near them when it comes to European pedigree or football pedigree in general, the moral high ground is all that we can claim which is lame and so [Poor language removed] small time, that's the truth, you might not like it but it's true.

Good luck to them tbh, it'll be good for the city if they win it and might make a few more people realise we exist.

Not that I'm marking your homework or anything, but could you elaborate on what you mean by football pedigree and moral high ground ?
