Finners was Thread Banned for this blatant avoidance of the filter. Astericks get picked up by Google and that in the same way sweary words do. Long termers know this, so not impressed.

No idea how it all works, but swear words and stuff affect the forums Google rep when it comes to placings in a search. So swear words/astericks could result in GOT not being at the top of a random Google search for "Everton Forums".

Site sponsors dont like them either.

And aside from that, there a billion decent words to describe someone/something as an X or a Y, so why choose an offensive, (to most people) one that you wouldnt use in your local pub?

And long term posters know that anyrate.

Main forum yes, it's open for anyone to read, but you have to be authenticated 'logged in' to read the Ale House and World Football Threads.
