I'm sure it's within scale to mentally flawed people in other professions

Firstly I think the Stones talk has done Chelsea no good whatsoever - how can you not have faith in Terry and Cahill on last season's performances? The more trouble they get into and they get more desperate to buy him the more we can hold out for more (£40M?)

Yep, with head injuries you can sometimes see the other team's doctors help out although he looked to be leading things - doubt you would have seen the same if Carnerio was available.

Has anyone actually had a second yellow and been sent off for persistant fouling? Don't remember it.

I did find Howard Webbs comments interesting where he seemed to be saying that referee's do actually take into account that a player has already been booked when deciding whether to give a player another yellow.

Of course they shouldn't according to the rules but it was unusual for a ref to actually admit it on national tv.

I've seen it a few times. Usually most managers are smart enough to get the player off the pitch when the final warning comes, most managers.

In a way it happened to Heitinga in the WC final who was sent off by one Howard Webb.

Have you noticed that those at the very top of the scale have a strangely high rate of being... erm... unstable?

Maradona, Suarez, Costa etc.
