I'd really like to believe that karma exists but when we lose 2 (admittedly undeserved) points to imaginary extra-extra time and then that shower of shi-tes breaks the all-time penalties awarded (dubiously) record to go above us, then I can't, I just can't. Absoultely effing ridiculous the crap they get away with which we get punished for.

So, how often do we benefit from a seriously bad call from the refs? A bad penalty for us? Not often eh! Against us? Hmm let me think! Milner for City when Jags breathed on him? Or how about Baines upended at Cardiff? Was that a pen? How about Baines chopped in two by the West Brom defender (no penalty and, in the ensuing melee of anger Arteta gets a red card for retaliation). Or maybe you forget the Poll final whistle call, Clattenburg, Atkinson.. I mean heaven forbid the RS should have an onside goal disallowed after their centre-half has used Jags for a ladder to head it to the toothy cheat - and yet they conveniently ignore the foul. Well they can always net the winner against Bournemouth from an obviously offside position - to name but one 2 points worth of help from the refs.

Erm... I'm aware of all of those and they're the sort of thing I'm referring to (not sure, but it sounds like you're having a go at me, as if I suggested they deserve more karma than us)? Haven't believed that sort of bollix since they got our best-ever team thrown out of European competition and only served 1 extra year's ban. And then tried to get us thrown out again at their expense in 2005/6. Spawn of effing satan that lot.

I wasn't disagreeing with you. Sorry if it came across that way! :) Yep and you forget denying us Fairs Cup places as well.

yep,and playing the rest of the 1st half,10 mins or so,and the start of the 2nd for 5mins or so,despite there chairman,or the sons chairman,or whoever saying he broke his leg in 4 places lol

So the squad that did this to leg is just going to get off scott-free? Where is the justice?

Only 1 team from each city were allowed. TBF not their direct fault that time, but enough other stuff has happened so hell let's blame them for that as well!

I remember that rule.

It was abolished in 1975 I think, the year we threw the Title away in the last three games but both us and the RS went into the Fairs Cup (the name might have been changed to the UEFA Cup by then) the following season.

We lost to Inter Milan IIRC.....I have a feeling they won it.

Did we ever miss out on a Fairs/UEFA Cup campaign due to the one city, one team rule?

this is why i don't watch them anymore, you can predict massive chunks of games every week. imagine if they were any good, imagine what they could achieve with the amount of luck and biased decisions they get their way. i know we saw in 2005 what they can do when all that falls into place, but seriously they're a laughing stock to the football world when you add up all that plus the amount of money they've spent to be hanging around that 7th to 8th spot.

It was AC Milan who beat us. And unfortunately it was the rs who won the, by then UEFA cup (as you rightly say)

Arsenal lined up £22m bid for Ruben Neves. If they get him anywhere near that price tag, that would be the bargain of they year for me (Deulofeu is still on top of that list), honestly. The lad is going to be amongst worlds best and is the youngest Porto captain in history. Pure class of a player. He's still just 18.

There are three things certain in life. Two of which are the usual suspects and the third is that TD would never, ever disagree with what you originally wrote.

Porto aren't famed for letting their top talent go for peanuts to be honest, I can't see them signing him for that. £30-£35m might get him but even then I wouldn't be sure.
