.....I read somewhere that Suarez got more penalties in one season than Ryan Giggs was awarded in his whole career. SAF said Giggs had amazing balance and wouldn't take a dive.

Hard work is all he'll offer them. I've seen enough of him up close here at liverpool now to know they'll never play with flair. An ugly, no frils team. Very basic. Klopp's style is 99% perspiration 1% inspiration. Without Coutinho they're basically a Stoke or Southampton.

By the time he left he had run Dortmund into the ground.

One whole shot on target (from either side) - from a lucky penalty - in 90 minutes of football. FFS!!

Last on MOTD2 - is that actually possible?

.....but GB made history winning the Davis Cup and we have the heavyweight boxing champion of the world. Some achievement by Andy Murray.

Sorry, Eggs.......I cannot do owt but laugh at the thoughts of big Tyson being the Heavyweight champ lol

He's no Apollo Creed, that's for sure :)

My sporting highlight of this weekend was the sight of Smad Place attacking the Newbury fences like a latter day Desert Orchid in the Hennessey yesterday ;)

A big white horse jumping so boldly is a spectacular sight

.....Smad Place was really impressive, loved watching that display even though I backed the 2nd and 3rd each way at big odds. Agree about Tyson but the achievement of Andy Murray should not be understated, he was key in winning the Davis Cup for the first time since 1936.

They'll find a way of saying that penalty was legitimate. I'm guessing it'll be one of the "experts" saying that the defender gave the ref a decision to make.

Who paid him then? Fecking hell Dave why would he take a bribe to stop a 7th placed side from winning ?? next you'll be saying the twin towers was faked...
It's not personal bribes. I explained it this way on another thread:

They wouldn't dare. They wouldn't get another PL game for ages if they did. I've said it for years: the refs are self policed and are employed by a profit making private company that they themselves own. The profit motive is there and that means they'll cater to forces that will guarantee the satisfaction of most "customers" - which the teams you mention have most of.

It's utterly corrupt.

I'd really like to believe that karma exists but when we lose 2 (admittedly undeserved) points to imaginary extra-extra time and then that shower of shi-tes breaks the all-time penalties awarded (dubiously) record to go above us, then I can't, I just can't. Absoultely effing ridiculous the crap they get away with which we get punished for.
