I don't think it's because they don't like him if that's what you mean. But there is a reason. He's playing in CM he should be seeing more of the ball than anyone. Rooney, Ox and Sterling have been anonymous but that can happen for forward players when they are starved. You can't really say the same for a CM.

Real dullorama fare, being played out like a lacklustre friendly. Barkley has touched the ball about 10 times since coming on, looks utterly lost out there trying to get find a position from which to get involved.
