I don't know if it's something to do with the way they mic the stadium up, but it just never sounds like there's much noise going on in that place. Even during Classico games, it just feels flat for some reason, but I can see people in the stands reacting so there must be noise, it just doesn't come across on TV for some reason

I've been, and can confirm the atmosphere is utter pony. It's so big they can't get unified chants going, so you just get these little pockets of chants pop up briefly around the ground. Up there with the worst games I've attended. Don't believe the hype.
