So your admitting that the ref made a mistake, as youve admitted, there was contact, thus meaning it wasnt simulation.
Hmm. I can see your point, but simulation AKA diving is the act of throwing oneself down with the intention of making the referee believe you have been felled. In fact, that can actually be in conjunction with a geniune foul, as the two are independent, concurrent events. So your admitting that the ref made a mistake, as youve admitted, there was contact, thus meaning it wasnt simulation.
Have Hammers won a match since they beat us at Goodison?
Looking at it again, Vardy deliberately put his left leg across the defender. Fair dos to the ref. It might not have been an obvious dive but it was cheating none the less.Ridiculous sending him off. However he went down his legs were taken, even it just the pair of them getting tangled up.
But watch it at full speed, he literally throws himself over, the ref has seen that and assumed dive, without video replays that is going to happen. I don't disagree with you that he's made contact, but at full speed it looks like a ridiculous dive.

So argue all you like that the ref didn't give a penalty, but he got a yellow for simulation because that's exactly what he did.
Again, that's not how it works... the striker can put his leg anywhere he wants. It's then up to the defender to dispossess him without taking down the striker, or in the event of an accidental collision after the striker puts his leg down and a connection is made, it's up to the ref to call it a foul or wave play on.
It's one of two things - it's either a foul, or not. Under no circumstance is it simulation, because none occurred. Nobody has tried to cheat - Vardy has put his leg in a position where he has tried to "buy" a penalty, but that isn't against the rules.

Gotta agree with that.
Wasn't a penalty/foul. But wasn't a bookable offence for simulation as there is contact.
