koff lad. love the winter schedule. a winter break wouldn't make england any better. As if a german manager of a predominantly foreign supported club worries about the impact on the english team.

Best time if the year from Boxing day fixtures to round 3 of the cup.

A winter break over Christmas would mean I might have to spend more time with family over the holidays that would be really unfair on my family.

the capital of wales though, they should get more than that. Swansea's a much smaller city and even when they were down in the dumps in the 4th division, they would still get twice that, even for dull fa cup games.

I simply don't understand the hate of the FA Cup so many fans have. Maybe remembering the 1970s as I do makes a difference but kicking off Round 3 everyone is 5 wins from a place in the Cup Final. Why not try to win those games and turn up to support your team?

I don't understand it. I loved those times as a kid when you would spend 3 weeks after each round counting the days til the next round and hopefully a win and another step to the big show.

Danny Ward has been recalled by Liverpool, he's already been called up to the Welsh National Team and it seems that after Bogdan's clanger he will be second choice to Mignolet.

Apparently had a real good spell with Aberdeen before the recall.

yep. imagine the FA just turning around one day and saying fans don't respect it and manager's don't either so we'll get rid of it. Them people care!

It was quite good to see man city, man united and chelsea putting out fairly strong teams in the 3rd round, even though that makes it tougher for us to win it

That penalty for Spurs, surely no player is going to "intentionally" handle the ball in the penalty area unless he is going to stop a near certain goal? In this case both players are heading out of the area, and the Leicester player can't even see the ball! Good for everyone else in the Premiership that two of the top teams have to play another game though
