Penalty shouldn't have been given if for no other reason than the Tottenham player on the ball completely stops and looks away to scream at the ref while the ball is still in play. Can't stand that [Poor language removed]. Players shouldn't be rewarded for giving up on a play to whine to the referee.
Regardless, that play proved the harshness of the penalty kick for a handball rule. Was the act of the player's arm coming up and touching the ball so unfair that it should be penalized with an almost-certain goal? Wish there was more of a middle ground for these.
