is it not now that Utd fans have lessened their clamour for winning pretty after Moyes, and they just want a win no mater how ugly at the moment. I think they know that Van Gaal has capably of setting up a team to win pretty (where Moyes didn't give that impression) and they are willing to cut him some slack on the prettyness for now.

Living off his past history, where Moyes didn't have one. But like I say, his signings seem to have turned up.
