Basel - if you're doubting their ability to get past Liverpool you cant have been taking notice of European football the past few seasons. They held off United to get into the Rd of 16 two seasons ago and narrowly failed to do the same last season, beating Chelsea along the way.

I'd say that puts them in with a great chance of getting past Liverpool. You'd have to think also Madrid will have a big say about who gets through. I doubt they'd want to leave it to chance that a Liverpool team with their tails up in the KO phase could return to haunt them. Last games in that group could be very interesting if it's close.

I know what you mean, but it's a dangerous game to play with all the kopites circling around GOT.

Take a look at who got what out of pot three.

Some got harder than Liverpool, some got better...Sporting Lisbon and Athletic Bilbao both got much easier groups than the Kopites.

Truth is, Liverpool got a middling draw. One they can get out of, for sure. But one they can definitely be seen as joint second favourites with Basel to go through behind Madrid.
