Why do players insist on rounding the keeper in 1 on 1's ??

Its advantage goalkeeper as you have to get close to the keeper to begin with. A keeper just has to get any touch and it breaks down. Just smash it either side... its essentially like a penalty.

Looking at that Aguero chance from behind, the left handside was WIDE open when he got to within 5 yards of the keeper

I don't get it either, an early shot strikes me as a better option so often , as goalies stay upright in one on ones

if you're running it at the right angle and have the correct acceleration it's an advantage

You know they've had a piping down when pretty much all game the crowd have complained about EVERY single decision against them.

City should of had a nailed on pen, one cleared off the line, Aguero missed a one on one but still thumped them.

Soton were 2-1 to finish top 4 before the game, glad I waited till after this match to put my house on, get much better odds now.

Tbf southampton had to go for it. You always leave gaps at the back.

While I reckon in their primes Gerrard was the better player, Lampard has aged much better.

Class player.

gerrard's game was based more on heart and a good engine. think lampard has always been a better player with a better football brain, especially more intelligent. he was nowhere near as reliant on his legs as gerrard was, and is becoming so so evident in the last few years to support this.

i'd have lampard up there with keane and vieira etc. as prem's best centre mids. i'd be a bit reluctant to have gerrard there, think his better games came in cup competitions. maybe that's because i just don't like him though.
