Today's atmosphere

I also missed the game today. Not something I think I'll ever live down. I'm bitterly, bitterly depressed just thinkng about it. The first game I've missed in years

1 loss at home all season (and that was very unlucky with our best players out) is quite an achievement for a club with no income.

boss stadium, boss team, boss fans, boss everton - looking forward to next season

That's whats changed for me mate. I've lost the optimism I used to have, perhaps because it was just evidence of naivety but also perhaps because I saw a potentially great team dismantled in 09 without even getting to enjoy more than a season together. And the painful part was that we couldn't replace them. We just couldn't replace Arteta, Lescott, Pienaar (apart from re-sign him, which we did) Yakubu (Jelavic looked to have surpassed him for 6 months) and so I learnt to enjoy the here-and-now, because the future only depressed me. That's how I feel right now, x10. If we struggled to replace key players, replacing the single most important figure this club has had since 80's Kendall will be a big big ask.

Seasick after that, but does a great job of capturing the passion the voce, the unity, the smoke bomb, the variety of songs, and how the fans all but willed that goal. Thanks for sharing this with those of us on a different continent and no set of being here in person.

I was sitting in the upper bullens in the Gld street corner so couldn't see the west ham fans but I barely heard them all afternoon which gives those who didn't go an insight to how good the atmosphere was as usually you can hear the away fans singing

Was in Lower Gwladys GT3, so glad I was there yesterday. There's no better place when the atmpshere is like that, it's what makes you love Everton

wasnt there but the atmosphere was top class and everyone who was there deserves a big pat on the back for making the day what it was

often on here there has been gripes about the atmosphere at games some justified some not but today was pure class and a huge incentive for the incoming manager to ponder over what in store for him IF he gets it right

Loved the way the 2nd half atmosphere just built up and built up and the goal just made it even more special. The variety of songs and passion was great. loved the smoke bombs. we should defo go for more of them like, even the smell was brilliant.

"You've got Sam Allardyce" was in reply to their "Where's Your Moysie gone?". Owned!!

Mirralis' 2nd was proper 11th man stuff. The whole stadium picked up on the Gladys St chants and started getting louder and louder, for no obvious reason. And then he scored. It's like we willed it in the net.

It was like The Old Lady was sayin "stick that Moysie, that's what you'll be missing...".

I have being the past 3 last home games of the season and that one was the best yet . They always have a rocking atomsphere . More games need to be like that especially when we are 1-0 up we need to get the team a 2nd goal . The greatest team chant was the best . Sitting in the lower bullens it started in gwladys street then it just rippled around the ground like a wave and picked up noise
