Today’s Football 25/26 Season

So, a team most people love watching versus a team few do.

I'm no purist - I love a good proper defensive side with street-smarts - but I hope for the sake of entertainment PSG prevail. There's something charmless and needy about Arteta's Arsenal - maybe it's their fans - that turns me off.

And surely everyone loves Kvaratskhelia.

None of these big sides are clean. Would rather the ones who actually try play footie win.

Arsenal are a lot cleaner than PSG. It's like saying all politicians are corrupt in response to someone making a point about how bad Trump is.

PSG, City and Chelsea are objectively worse than other big clubs. United, Liverpool, Arsenal all became big through sustained success over multiple decades rather than being bought out by oil states and transformed overnight. Arsenal had to go through a decade or so of little spending just to offset the stadium costs.

Yeah PSG may play nice football, but so did City, yet people moan about them all the time. It's cherry-picking because PSG's success has no relevance or effect on the team/league they follow. That said, it's understandable.

I just have a feeling Arsenal are going to do this. Hope they do to be honest, if only to upset everyone pleasuring themselves about PSG.

And let us not forget, our lovable neighbours would hate an Arsenal win. Means another English team getting a slice of the European attention, plus they want to say they were only beaten by the eventual winners. Arteta schooling them by beating PSG would be hilarious...
