15 years ago today I watched Palace lose 1-2 at home to Scunthorpe which left us still in danger of the drop to League 1.
Things turned out ok really.

More importantly, nearly 12 years ago, Crystanbul happened.

Frank is one of the good guys

And a good manager

He lost his job here because of absolutely hopeless recruitment, not because he's a bad coach.

Likeable guy. He did good at Derby before and also not bad at Chelsea considering they had the transfer before he came here.

But it's a fact that we lost to almost all teams in the bottom half in his last few games. Thanks god we are still a prem team after all seeing which way Leicester goes.

…..away from the obvious, some fascinating games this weekend. Championship relegation in focus from lunchtime, especially Pompey v Leicester. Everton being nice and safe weirdly impacts my interest and enjoyment of watching footy.

Coventry have made it back from the wilderness. Never really minded them when they were relevant, and iirc we got Carsley from them and it was a fine signing. One of Smith's last signings for us.

Re Wednesday, I'm not sad for them, am angry on their behalf.

Have you seen what the football association are in the process of doing to Wednesday? The fa are more inclined to hand out cyanide pills than do anything to help the community establishments that required their creation in the first place.

The owner such as he is (of Wednesday) makes his money from 'John West' branded fish products. I'm amazed a football wide boycott hasn't been pushed to help him get on his bike and pish off.

the fa need dragging through the mud 'cos he passed a fit and proper persons test and is now ransoming the clubs future. they're enabling him to do more destruction.
