Today’s Football 25/26 Season

Aye said that in the West Ham thread. 14 from 21 is rough, but we had 15 from 20 and did it.

They've got Paqueta, Summerville, Bowen and Id imagine they'll spend this summer.

They look toast but wouldn't write them off just yet. Hope they can at least make Leeds sweat.
Forest and Leeds are averaging a point a game though. Even if they slightly drop off, west ham need 20 more points you'd think. 15 from 20 is OK when 30 might be enough but won't be if you need 35.

Can't think of another team on earth in a game this big where the home team fans would t bother showing up and those that did leave at 1-1. Good riddance to that
It’s crazy,
I mean, Evertonians had much more reason to hate the board and the club and football in general and practically dragged the team over the line over and over again

They need a run just to catch up let alone overtake anyone

They signed players and backed the coach so I can’t see them sacking Nuno but they are in a tough spot

Can’t see them surviving

Bottom 3 currently have less points than the previous few seasons when we all thought Luton/Ipswich worst ever.

I look at West Ham and expect 18th to pickup more than I perhaps expected Luton or Ipswich but they're currently tracking behind.

Will they sack another manager? If so who comes in? Bilic? Ange? Haha. I know I shouldn't laugh but they all did when it was us struggling.
Ready to step in by all accounts but I'm not sure its the answer, their squad is incredibly disjointed when you go through it, they can't defend and they can't score goals.

Dropping points to Leeds, Burnley and West Ham 👎
leeds - we got conned
burnley - we got lucky for getting a point
west ham - we always run into that player that pulls something out of the locker to change a game. + our goal profligacy.

I have 3 games in mind much more concerning. newcastle, spurs and brentford have all turned up in very similar set ups and bopped us like drunken lambs. In fact, they all share the very same front post header from a corner. Is there an equation having been worked out with how to turn up at BMD and knock the stuffing out of us? Because the near identical falling to pieces is at least not lost on me.

I go back to the brighton opener, it was glaring then. Once we're a yard off in midfield we get swamped. And the pressure is so strangling that we capitulate - except that outlier game.

Reflection, we got screwed over (again) vs arsenal. We were a quivering wreck in the final 5 away at wolves. There is an underlying issue in our side, when we're full strength we can usually cope and get around it. Can't quite put my finger on it, yet.

We never got cut adrift like that though. Think the closest we came was 4 points behind Burnley with a game in hand against Chelsea the next day.

I dont think we ever fell as far behind as 7 points from safety. Even when we were 3 or 4 points adrift I think we often had games in hand.

3 wins is a huge amount when you are a team who aren't good at winning. I'm not saying West Ham are gone but they are in deep deep trouble. Odds on to go down now. You can lose at home to your nearest rival when you are already 4 points behind.
I reckon they’re probably done for as well, but it’s only 2 wins and a draw. I’d be fuming if I thought we’d given up at that point.

The only good thing about being down the bottom end of the table, is the teams around you don’t tend to pick up many points either.
