Arsenal forward Kai Havertz is set to miss the rest of the 2024-25 season with a torn hamstring, reports The Athletic football correspondent, David Ornstein.

This is yet to be verified by the BBC.

Havertz was being assessed after picking up a muscle injury in the side's Dubai training camp.

torn hamstring

ouch

He is less that six foot tall. Wasn’t that Ipswich keeper from the 70’s also short for a keeper? Laurie Sivell (?). Once saved a few pennies in a row iirc.
Can remember late 70's/80's we had a keeper at The Baggies called Tony Godden and it used to really wind him up because everyone questioned his size and no one believing his claim of 6ft. He got that annoyed with it he went on ITV's Central Sport and got Presenter Gary Newbon to measure him live on air 😆

How tall was he then??

I remember the name and also Jim Coombes, another of your keepers.

Semi-automated offside system will finally be introduced in the Premier League by the end of the season.

This is terrible for the likes of Liverpool who until now have been able to rely on bent officials to draw/not lines as they see fit.
