Arsenal with Henry was my favourite side as a kid. Still best team I've saw in this league

Some teams try to walk the ball in. They literally did it.

was it Portsmouth they played away in the FA Cup one year where even the home fans applauded them as they scored a fourth or fifth goal?

Henry was on a different level. I always thought that he wasn't the most technical player compared to some of his counterparts -still have a very, very good touch.

The difference was that his awareness and movement was magical, which coupled with strength and pace meant he was unplayable.

He'd have looked like a PE teacher here though.

Arsenal have given him time and the backing to bring in youth and bin off very expensive members of that squad (Lacazette, Aubameyang, Pepe). They learned from the disasters of the late period Wenger and Emery years, and they are reaping the rewards of it now. Would we have done that?

In short they are a club that learnt from its mistakes.

Remember when Edu came out and gave that interview to sky right at the peak of the Arteta out period. He told the fans what they were doing, what direction they were going in and why the club thought it was the right one.

Meanwhile Thelwell….

Agreed. I remember sitting in the Gladys, must have been 2004 and we lost 4:1 to them. They were incredible that day. Bergkamp and Henry linked up so well.

Unreal team back then.
