I don't see that level of talent there regardless of how his team plays. Like yes he's a terrible LCB but he's played a lot of LWB and been really average
Yeah, probably why he won all the player awards last year, as players tend to know nothing about players. Won all the fan ones too.

He's about as much as a CB as Leighton Baines was though. They play him there for some bizarre reason but he's a proper attacking LB/LWB. Again, in a team with a strong midfield/winger in front of him - he'll be great. In a team where "iT's AlL AbOuT FlUiDiTy" as Potter (and Tuchel tbh) he's utterly lost.

As someone above said - just flexing some money with this and Sterling.

Yeah same, prefer Rovers but it won't break my weekend.

My Dad prefers Rovers, he played with Geoff Twentyman for a bit before he hit the big time. He doesn't know much about Bristol though, he just said stay out of St Pauls when I moved here. Bad experiences in the 80s I think. Obviously these days St Pauls is a fine place to be, cities change but it just goes to show how long impressions last on people.

Haha! Yeah, in the 80s your old man was right! My lad goes the St Pauls Carnival every year. Loves it. Hartcliffe, Southmead, and parts of Knowle I would still steer clear of mind.

See Rovers havnt done my suggested come back.

Can you imagine the amount of grief Lampard would take it he got some of these results, conceding 4 at Newcastle or 3 at Brighton?

He gets edged out of a game by a single goal and some of our fanbase is absolutely livid with him, dread to think what the reaction would be to scorelines that other teams get every week.
If a manager lost 4 zip away to Newcastle his first game in charge, no one would be criticising.

I disagree with the people rating him. He's a reasonable cog in a well run 3-4-3 but he doesn't elevate the team at all. Estupinan just stepped in no problem. Chelsea can use him there or not, it won't matter, he's a bus rider and you don't miss those.

He will move away from that cesspit and be great again, just like pretty much everyone who goes there just for a money flex.

Also Estupinan is also a left back, and not any kid of centre back.

So many people, myself included, crapped all over Howe every time he was linked to us

shows what the general public now
He's one of those managers that has no plan B. I don't think we had or still have the players that would do alright in the style he plays.
