One of the most succesful managers of the last 10 years or so. Can't think of a bigger upgrade a club has done in a managerial sense going from Gerrard to him.

Gutted we weren't quicker on the draw on Lampard.

Stop Guimaraes and you stop Newcastle, even Lampard‘s Everton controlled the entire second half when he went off early in the season. Villa have been excellent so far, just shows what a decent manager can do as Gerrard was clueless

He is. We missed the boat. But I don't think he's a manager for those top clubs. Bombed out at PSG. Arsenal since sacking him have won an FA Cup and probably the league title.

Still a good manager outside those elite ones. He'll do well at Villa unless it goes sour.
