Getting quite bored of the Lionesses and that manager Wiegman now.

This competition should have been between the winners of CONCACAFs international competition and UEFA's (USA and England), not COMNEBOLs and UEFAs. This is just to bring it in line with the men's contest where Argentina beat Italy at Wembley last year.

Women's football in South America is like decades behind the men's game, no team from there does well in the World Cup and Argentina lost like 7-1 to England in the 2007 tournament and they are like historically the best team on that continent.

England were expected to win handsomely tonight, but instead they needed penalties. At the World Cup it's going to be interesting and I think they will be found out or simply become mediocre again.

Tonight's game was pointless, the gulf between those two continents in the women's game is ridiculous.

Winner of the euros v winner of the copa america. They did it last year in the men’s game too

Basically an international teams version of the defunct Toyota Intercontinental Cup that was last played in 2004, won by Porto and played in Tokyo every year.

The idea was that those two continents are the big two in the men's game, while with the women's game it's North America and Europe. The women's equivalent of tonight's game should have reflected that.
