I actually cant see why Palace wanted the game off looking at the team - 1 change compared to the last game, still quite a strong team compared to what we were able to put out at Chelsea
Seven in the squad effected + the manager + another game in 48 hours.I actually cant see why Palace wanted the game off looking at the team, still quite a strong team compared to what we were able to put out at Chelsea
To be fair mate, its a full 11 bar 1 player from last game v the Saints, that for me is way good enough, fill the subs up etc with whoeverSeven in the squad effected + the manager + another game in 48 hours.
The PL would have cancelled the RS game without them having to ask.
Yes, you should be penalised for having strength in depth.lolOuch, look at that COVID depleted Palace lineup, shocked the game wasn't called off! *eyeroll
Three of them in my fantasy football side, it's not covid, it's me.Five regulars out for Palace today. Guaita, Benteke, Eze, Olise & Luka plus MacArthur injured.
I‘m not complaining about having to play. There does seem to be some inconsistency and lack of clarity about the “rules” though. To be fair mate, its a full 11 bar 1 player from last game v the Saints, that for me is way good enough, fill the subs up etc
No i know your not mate, I just was expecting many, many more out and half the starting 11 to be unknown players to us, but only 1 change to last game and that player is a sub - not like us were many of our players last week would have been unknown to the outsiders - ive heard all of yoursI‘m not complaining about having to play. This all day mate, not enough red in your kit obvs, seems that's the rules.I‘m not complaining about having to play. There does seem to be some inconsistency and lack of clarity about the “rules” though.
As you have proved many times on this thread, your knowledge of 8 year old footballing prodigies in Tanzania is unsurpassed but your knowledge of anything Palace related is scant at best.If Palace really tried to say they couldn't fulfill the game today with that lineup it just shows how some teams are trying to take the piss with very inconsistent PL rules. Trying to use the COVID excuse to ease up a busy festive period so they get the games later in the season when injuries might be back etc.
Absolute farce.

You have no idea regarding Palace’s motives, if indeed there were any.
I don’t mind you as a poster at all mate and your contributions can be interesting and thought proving. The points you make about individuals within the squad are fair but; where do the rules stipulate between players who have played every game and those who have only played a few? We have 7 players in the squad out. It is reasonable to ask? I have already said I don’t mind having to play but some clarity and transparency around the rules would be welcome. That would at least do away with the “well he hardly plays” argument, which is irrelevant as he can still catch Covid and infect others. You might not like me as a poster but you can't deny the logic behind my post.
How on Earth can you support the decision yesterday to try get this called off? There is zero reason for anyone thinking it was a justified request.
You listed the players missing:
Milivojevic - Been on the bench since 30th November, possibly out now with COVID but isn't a new casualty.
McArthur - Out since 6th November - nothing new there then.
The other 4 have missed this and last game but I mean, which team isn't missing a few players? Two of them (Olise and Eze) have barely played this season anyway with injury and finding their feet.
