If they try and play that game - they'll have fixture pile up at the end of the season anyway, so it'd be counter productive

There is a hard stop at the end of the season (No possibility of extension) and only 2(!) free midweek slots between now and then
Agree, but in some circumstances they might want to take that risk, especially if it's a game with a lot riding on it.

What the league have done is effectively hand over the power for clubs to decide what games they do and do not want to play for the next few weeks. It's ludicrous.

The PL are profit-led scum. They were telling us all how principled they were upholding football fans interests in the summer when the Euro scab league was proposed. We can see what they really think of those fans now - encouraging them into super spreading events for another two weeks and some of them or their families will get ill and maybe die.

Vermin.

Not sure they are profit led. Technically the PL is closer to a cooperative, with 20 member clubs each season, who have to have a majority of 14 members to pass any motions.

So, even if they do make a massive profit, (not sure they do), the members could vote to have it distributed as a dividend.

They are welded to broadcast revenues though, but that is a different concept to "profit led scum".

You can see how the rule could be manipulated. Say for example Newcastle - they could try and get games postponed whilst trying to spend a considerable amount of money during the transfer window - Ergo playing rescheduled games with a vastly superior squad than would have allowed before

Have to get a bet on you'll cave.

Unless you set up cameras in my house I suppose you’ll never truly know, but I have absolutely zero appetite to watch a training session ever again. I went to watch Bayern v Barca the other week and then immediately turned it over when I realised it was behind closed doors. I can’t do it, I would rather football shut down for 2 weeks than show live training sessions.

I hope your love for me will make you be honest when you do inevitably cave and watch Iwobi running into a corner flag in front of no fans.

SHUT THEM ALL DOWN

It's a limited company. They're there to maximise the profits of their member clubs and that's how they've become a very well paid bureaucracy. They're there to advise those clubs what the best course of action is. They didn't advise them to do anything on this, they facilitated a discussion.

Rodgers nailed this one midweek - the Prem is simply trying to ensure that all the fixtures get played so they don't lose TV revenue. Player health is an inconsequential consideration, as most clubs need the TV revenue to fulfill player contracts and there's nowhere to put postponed fixtures.
Do Everton ever have 13 fit players?
Depends on your definition of "player".

We are going to have to reckon with how at risk you actually are though when you contract this variant. I get it that it is mostly based on the money but I'm also not sure it is that unsafe anymore.
