If they try and play that game - they'll have fixture pile up at the end of the season anyway, so it'd be counter productive

There is a hard stop at the end of the season (No possibility of extension) and only 2(!) free midweek slots between now and then

The premier league is not fit for purpose, rolling rule changes and a refusal to be clear about covid postponement, every club with a reserves team has at least 40+ players , tough if you cant play with the first team every week .

The PL are profit-led scum. They were telling us all how principled they were upholding football fans interests in the summer when the Euro scab league was proposed. We can see what they really think of those fans now - encouraging them into super spreading events for another two weeks and some of them or their families will get ill and maybe die.
