Supposedly Chelsea have 5 players out with Covid and asked the premier league to cancel their game today against Wolves, the premier league said no.
The Premier League has a serious issue with unvaccinated players in comparison with the Bundesliga and Serie A where, apparently, vaccination rates are over 90%.

If they were serious about protecting public health, the health of players, and the integrity of the competition, they would refuse postponements for any club with vaccination rates lower than 90%. Why should a club who has 95% vaccination among its players have to endure a postponement because an opponent can only manage 60%? If you cannot play and you don't have a high level of vaccination, you simply forfeit the points.

We all know that vaccinated people can contract COVID too, but they are significantly less likely to get it, pass it on, or suffer severe consequences from it than those who are unvaccinated. So, postponements should only be granted to sides who have 90% vaccination rates and who fulfill other current criteria (less than 14 players, no keeper, etc).

Time to clamp down on needless disruption. We'll have it even if everyone is vaccinated, but vaccination should be the basic step every team takes before playing the victim. It mitigates disruption.

Was reading the other day that the premier league said 25% of players said they “currently do not intend to get a vaccine”.
